Youth Leadership Camps Canada has closed its permanent facility and, we have certainly celebrated our 30 years of leadership development, summer camp fun and friendships being built! 

 

Even though we won’t be having eight-weeks of summer camp any longer, we are excited to say we have a super fun announcement to make...

 

YLCC is back in 2023 for a special one-week camp session!

All campers: July 9-15, 2023
CITS: July 8-15, 2023).

We have had so many emails that we decided to hold a one week camp at our original summer camp location Camp Sylvan, in Sylvan, Ontario. It’s not the same facility as our Lake Simcoe site. It will be different. But this 350 acre camp on the Ausable River is incredible. 

 

Our goal is to focus more on our leadership curriculum and have more expert speakers that will come in to share their knowledge with our campers. Our sessions will be focused on real skill development and tangible skills. YLCC will also be introducing “Leaders and the Environment” - A look at how campers can understand the natural world around them and their impact on it. We will be awarding 3 different pins (yes lanyards and pins will still be a thing) for each level that campers achieve.

 

Of course we will still have our house challenges, camp fires and unique YLCC Camp activities that campers and staff have come to love.
