Student Leadership Retreats
Group: High School
Student leadership retreats are a great opportunity for student to plan and execute a leadership camp for their peers. Although we usually provide all programming for retreats, we can also accommodate student driven leadership retreats. For example, throughout the school year student leadership clubs (with the help of teachers/advisors) create a leadership camp with leadership curriculum for other students at their school. At the end of the year, student leaders facilitate their leadership camp at YLCC!
We strongly encourage student facilitators to come to YLCC one day early so that they can orient themselves, be trained to facilitate YLCC activities, and feel comfortable facilitating activities for their student peers. When the rest of the students arrive, the student facilitators will be in charge of facilitating activities (except for high ropes and waterfront-YLCC staff facilitates these) and we take care of the rest!
