Winter Outdoor Adventure (Overnight)
Group: High School
This program is ideally a two night retreat and is designed for grade 7-12 students. Students spend a majority of their time outdoors preparing snow shelters, learning about fire building and outdoor cooking, learning about tree identification and animal tracking, and performing scientific snow studies. Sleeping in snow shelters is another option for this program. YLCC can also offer snowshoeing and dogsledding for an additional cost during our winter retreats.
This program covers elements in physical education, science, communication, leadership, survival and so much more. Students learn about themselves, their peers and their environment through hands on experiences they will never forget!
