Scott Hammell

Workshop Presenter

Scott Hammell has been entertaining professionally since 1998. He started his career by performing at birthday parties. As Scott?s abilities as an entertainer grew quickly, word spread and he began performing for audiences of over 1000 people after being in business only two years. In school, Scott was known for his magic and encouragement from his peers led him to the idea of performing as a permanent career. Scott?s talent soon took him across the country and even down to Barbados to perform.

Scott attended Kitchener-Waterloo Collegiate Institute for high school. Scott was voted into Student Council by his peers every year. After meeting a very supportive activities director, who determined that Scott was ?more than just a busker,? he was encouraged to give motivational speaking a try. Several other wonderful teachers and friends soon saw that this fit Scott?s natural ability in front of an audience and his focus soon grew to pursue a career based on motivational speaking.

Scott decided that he would attempt to set a world record to give him the basis for his message. With dozens of supporters, Scott began planning Escape to Cloud Nine. He suffered many major setbacks along the way. Fortunately, in the end things came together and at the age of 18, Scott set the world record for the ?World?s Highest Suspension Straight Jacket Escape.? Scott?s breathtaking escape landed him on the season premiere of the popular television show ?Ripley?s Believe It Or Not?. It launched his motivational speaking career and paved the way for several additional television appearances.

Scott has gone on to set or break three other Guinness World Records for, “Longest Inverted Juggling Duration”, “Fastest Moving Card Trick”, “Highest Blindfolded Skydive” and plans to set and break many more. He has recently signed a deal for his own television series which is schedule to start production soon.

Scott loves movies, music and most of all, hanging out with family and friends. He attributes his success to his family and his healthy lifestyle based around being alcohol, drug and cigarette free and being Vegan (consuming or using no animal products or byproducts).

Workshop Description
In this interactive workshop, Scott will demonstrate and teach the communication strategies necessary to complete his most recent daring stunt. You’ll leave this workshop with a behind the scenes look at what it took to jump from an airplane, blindfolded and handcuffed. More importantly, you’ll leave with the practical knowledge to help lead your team to the next level. This presentation is fun, interactive and incredibly practical.
