Workshop Description for “The Culture of Consumption: How to Make your Purchases Powerful”
You live in a world that throws you approximately 5,000 advertisements a day. That’s one advertisement, commercial, product placement, or brand in your face every 3 seconds! Sometimes it’s difficult for us to digest the fact that we are consuming brands that define our culture and who we are as individuals and humanity. Every time you watch commercials on TV, most of them look directly at you and tell you that you suck – and the only solution is to buy more stuff. It’s time to fight back against our consumer culture and learn effective and creative ways for you to make your purchases powerful! Join me as we discuss these critical issues in this interactive seminar. Learn that you have the power to define your culture, don’t just buy into it.
Visit the NationWares website and learn how you can begin to wear your heart on your sleeve. NationWares also provides different fundraising opportunities for high school and community programs. We also have plenty of volunteer and community service opportunities for high school students. Contact us for more information!
